Capitol City Lumber Company was incorporated in 1945, but due to World War II was not started until April 1, 1947.

After World War II , our founder, James Anglin Nicholson started the company with one empty building, a two ton truck and a single load of plywood. During those days materials where hard to find, he established his place in the community by offering quality building materials at a fair price.

Although the company has grown,we strive every day to live up to his original mission of Quality, Service, and Dependablity.
